Where Giving Back Adds Up
Northshore Food Bank is a community-based organization supported by local businesses, civic groups, and individuals. It provides food assistance to more than 300 individuals and families each week who live at or below 185% of the federal poverty guidelines and are in need within our community. Tax & Accounting team member Bridgett White is passionate about the mission of Northshore Food Bank as she has organized a virtual food drive and regularly volunteers with the organization.
Northshore Humane Society is a non-profit, no-kill animal rescue and community veterinary clinic located in Covington, Louisiana. As one of the largest animal welfare organizations in the state, it is dedicated to rescuing and caring for neglected and abandoned animals across the Northshore region. Many Griffin & Furman employees actively support the organization through donations and volunteer efforts. We’re also looking forward to their upcoming event, Tails and Tastings.
The Special Olympics is a global organization offering year-round sports training and athletic competition for individuals with intellectual disabilities. At Griffin & Furman, our team is proud to support this meaningful cause—many of our employees have dedicated their time as volunteers, reflecting our shared commitment to inclusion and community impact.
The Miracle League is an organization that creates opportunities for children with disabilities to play baseball, regardless of physical or mental abilities. Locally, many members of the Griffin & Furman team have volunteered with or donated to our area’s Miracle League. This organization holds a special place in our hearts, and we look forward to continuing our support when the Fall Ball Buddy season begins in September.
The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA) works to rescue animals from situations involving cruelty, including dogfighting, puppy mills, and neglect. They provide medical care, behavioral rehabilitation, and help thousands of animals find safe, loving homes each year. Leah Sacco, a member of the Griffin & Furman team, has personally adopted a dog through the ASPCA and continues to support the organization through regular donations. An upcoming fundraising carnival in October will further support the ASPCA’s vital mission.
River Cities Humane Society for Cats is a non-profit, no-kill shelter dedicated to rescuing, caring for, and rehoming homeless and abandoned cats. The organization provides a safe, nurturing environment, along with food, medical care, and affection, until each cat finds a forever home. Griffin & Furman team member Lizbeth Ruiz proudly supports this mission—she donates regularly and adopted her own cat through the shelter.
Option Ultrasound Louisiana
Option Ultrasound is a program that equips pregnancy medical centers with ultrasound machines, sonography training for nurses, and other capacity-building grants to ensure women have access to essential medical care. Griffin & Furman team member Alicia Kelley actively supports the Louisiana location and contributes to this meaningful cause through ongoing donations.
Companion Animal Alliance (CAA) is the only open-intake animal shelter in East Baton Rouge Parish, providing care for over 9,000 animals annually—including cats, dogs, wildlife, livestock, and exotic pets. With Griffin & Furman operating an office in Baton Rouge, this organization is especially meaningful to us. Many of our team members are actively involved, and we’re proud to support their mission. CCA holds adoption events frequently throughout the year.
Lighthouse Louisiana empowers individuals with disabilities by helping them secure employment, regain independence, and challenge perceptions about their capabilities. At Griffin & Furman, we believe everyone deserves the opportunity to work and live independently. We proudly support Lighthouse Louisiana through ongoing donations.
Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center is Louisiana’s leading cancer care organization, serving more patients annually than any other facility in the region. Several Griffin & Furman employees are passionate supporters of the center and contribute by donating cancer care boxes to help comfort patients during treatment.
The Children’s Coalition for Northeast Louisiana works with partner agencies to identify and address critical issues affecting children in our community. By uniting people and programs, they drive meaningful change to meet these needs. Griffin & Furman proudly supports this organization and helps promote their “Super Saturday” event, which provides assistance to families in need.
Raphael Village is a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting differently-abled individuals in becoming fully engaged in life and their communities. In recent years, Managing Partner Stephen Griffin and the rest of the firm have raised and contributed tens of thousands of dollars to Raphael Village, participating in their annual Soirée and Tennis fundraisers. Recently, our partners gathered at Dragonfly Café to enjoy dinner and support this important cause.
Hope House is an independent, non-profit organization committed to breaking the cycle of child abuse in our community. They provide recovery support, facilitate justice for victims, and offer educational programs to raise awareness. Their upcoming fundraising event, “Heroes Who Cook,” will take place in November to support their vital mission.
Marine Toys for Tots aims to bring the joy of Christmas and a message of hope to economically disadvantaged children across America. Leslie and Victoria Gainey are passionate supporters of this organization and actively participate in donating toys to children in need. Griffin & Furman plans to host a toy drive this holiday season to join in supporting Toys for Tots.
Women's Hospital
Women's Hospital is a private, nonprofit organization renowned for its exceptional care of women and infants. A few of our employees have generously donated to this hospital, and we plan to increase awareness and support for Women's Hospital within our community.
Eden Centers for Hope and Helaing
Eden Centers for Hope and Healing is an anti-trafficking organization specializing in trauma recovery. They provide a safe haven for victims during critical times of need. Supporting organizations like Eden Centers is vital, especially when they serve our local community.
Mandeville Soccer Club
Mandeville Soccer Club offers a well-organized soccer program, managing registration, team formation, coaching, scheduling, and player and coach development. Two Griffin & Furman partners volunteer their time as treasurer and financial managers for specific teams, contributing to the community by supporting youth sports.
Ascension Flight Soccer Club
Ascension Flight Soccer Club offers players a fun and safe environment to enjoy soccer while fostering physical, mental, and social growth. The club emphasizes integrity, good sportsmanship, and the development of soccer within the community. One of our partners volunteers as Vice President of Administration, dedicating her time to support and give back to local youth.

LSU Color Guard is a distinguished organization at Louisiana State University with deep military roots, known for its precision, discipline, and tradition. The group performs at various university events, athletic games, and community functions, showcasing exceptional skill and dedication. One of our employees volunteers as a coach for the team, dedicating his time and expertise out of passion for the organization’s mission and the development of its members.
